Eduardo Valderrey's work is an open project that begun five years ago. This work in-progress plays on the conflicting relationship between identity and urban set-up. The work has been developed in a number of cities such as Barcelona, Paris, New York, Rome, and Madrid.

"Civilisation's current evolutionary trend has led to severe identity losses. Persons, gardens and buildings in places devoid of memory; motorways and wide avenues of concrete blanketing spaces that were once characterized by other landscapes, by other identities, persist in this emptiness. Gardens or any other element of the vegetable kingdom hint at a notion of identity amidst this concrete-covered landscape." E.V.
